Our garden railroad is over 250' of Atlas O-gauge track. There are two fast O-72 turnouts for a 22' passing siding on the mainline as well as two wyes in a double leg configuration. I did this to "force" the loco to go down and come back via a new route each time and in a different direction. My goal was to break up the monotony of watching trains go through a loop, albeit a very long one. I run mostly steam. I chose O-gauge because of the remote control capabilities and scale of realism and sounds.
