This railroad layout takes you back to a by gone era, circa 1912, with the arrival of the first official train into Key West, Florida. On Jan 22, the Overseas Railroad, with one specific section, a 7 mile distance, remains the greatest engineering event in the southernmost city of the United States. By 1922, the Overseas Railroad was destroyed by a hurricane, one of the most short lived railroads at that.
